Showcasing furniture, art, home décor, recycled and upcycled antiques and pieces created by various artists, The Mill at Gibsonville is located in the former Liberty Hosiery Mills building on Eugene Street in Gibsonville. Originally constructed in 1890, the building housed the old Gem Cotton Mill and much of its original features remain in place today. The Mill represents a quintessential small town journey which showcases the charm and talents of the historic Gibsonville community. In 2010, Chris Smith, with the support and encouragement of her husband Jim, brought together a diverse group of friends– carpenters, artists and interior designers– who shared her passion for restoring and recycling pieces of history.
The Mill has grown to become more than just a showroom. It’s a place where people are offered an opportunity to discuss design ideas, share stories present and past and absorb all of the collective talent.
